My love affair with books began when I was in Grade One and I picked up my first fairy tale from Ladybird Books.   As a teen, I grew up reading from the Nancy Drew, Sweet Dreams and Sweet Valley High series.    Then I moved on to reading romance by Jude Deveraux, Sandra Brown, etc., all the while cringing inside because of their embarrassing lusty covers.  Until now,  I keep adding to my book collection, hindered only by budgeting and the lack of shelf space.

My favorite genres are romance, suspense, fantasy, young adult and self-improvement.  I also enjoy books on cooking and art.  I also collect picture books for young children.

The bookstore is one of my favorite places on earth!  My dream is to hang out in mega-bookstores like the Fox Bookstore in the movie "You've Got Mail!".

I usually choose books based on their cover and whether they are on the bestseller list. Over the years,  I realized that some of the best books I have read came from recommendations from my family, friends and acquaintances.    I started this reading blog because of this.  I am hoping that one of my posts would ignite a spark in you to read a particular book.
